After a five week break, it was good to be back at Parliament to get on with the job of holding the Abbott Government to account for its horror Budget.
Higher education was a focus this fortnight, as the Government introduced legislation to enable its retrograde reforms. I spoke about how education had transformed my life and that of my sisters, and allowed us to escape a cycle of disadvantage.
In National Science Week I criticised the Government for ignoring the importance of science and research to our future - for having no science minister, and no science strategy.
I also spoke in defence of the Renewable Energy Target, which I know many Canberrans support.
Finally, with great sadness I paid tribute to a friend and colleague, Kurt Steel, whose life was tragically cut short in a bus accident in Bolivia last week.
You can find a full list of my speeches from the last fortnight below.
