Solar Panels at Havelock House Benefits Canberra's Most Vulnerable
Havelock House, Canberra’s largest provider of social housing, will see a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of its largest boarding house thanks to a $10,000 Stronger Communities Grant.
The Grant will help fund solar panels to reduce the boarding house’s annual utility costs with the savings redirected towards building improvements.
The shift to solar will also reduce daily costs for Havelock House’s tenants.
Havelock House puts the needs of the most vulnerable in our community first.
The Stronger Communities Grant will help more than 100 Canberrans on low incomes living at Havelock House.
