Standing up for Canberra

Better services in the Parliamentary Triangle

I am pleased with the recommendations from the inquiry by the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories into the provision of amenity in the Parliamentary Triangle.

The inquiry found that there is a need from both workers and visitors for more amenities in the Parliamentary Triangle and surrounding areas.

If the workers in the Parliamentary Triangle are to pay for parking like they do in other business districts, it’s only fair they have access to the services, such as convenience stores and shops, available in other precincts.

The report of the inquiry has been published on the Australian Parliament House website.
