Australian athletes on the road to the Invictus Games

Good luck to those 40 Australians who are participating in this year’s Invictus Games.

The Invictus Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery for those serving and former military personnel who have been wounded, injured or made ill in service of their country.

Taking place in Orlando, between May 8-12, the Invictus Games continues in 2016, following the inaugural games held in London in 2014.

The Invictus Games is a platform of opportunity for athletes to inspire themselves and those ‘wounded warriors’ who are on the road to recovery.

We would like to thank the ADF and the RSL for their sponsorship of Australia’s involvement in the Invictus Games.

With notable rivalry in the past few days between the United States, England and Canada, it appears Australia will be the underdog in what is anticipated to be an extremely competitive games.

The spirit of over 500 athletes competing across 10 sports will inspire pride, honour, achievement and no doubt healthy competition.

Congratulations to all those representing Australia at this year’s games, may your new uniforms bring you as much pride and honour as your previous ones.

Once again, your service continues to make us a proud nation.
