Giving Tree a chance for Canberra community to help less fortunate this Christmas

For many of us, Christmas season is a time to relax, spend time with friends and family and swap presents.

But many Canberra families face the difficult choice between paying for presents and the Christmas spread, or paying the bills.

In the lead-up to Christmas I am encouraging Canberrans to dig deep and help out.

This year’s Giving Tree will support the YWCA Lanyon Food Hub, St John’s Care and the Domestic Violence Crisis Service.

These organisations will distribute all gifts received to the most vulnerable in our community.

Canberrans are encouraged to donate unwrapped, non-perishable food items, toiletries or other essentials to the Giving Tree in my electorate office.

Please visit my website for further information at www.gaibrodtmann.com.au/givingtree2016.

My office is located opposite the Hyperdome Shopping Centre at 205 Anketell Street, Tuggeranong.

The office will be accepting donations until COB Wednesday, 14 December 2016.

Please give generously in support of Canberra families doing it tough, and help make this Christmas a merry one.
