Lifeline Canberra is holding its popular Southside Bookfair this weekend which is a fun experience for the whole family and the perfect opportunity to grab a bargain and help raise money for Lifeline Canberra’s counselling services.
Member for Canberra, Gai Brodtmann will help set up the bookfair at Vikings Erindale Auditorium today ahead of the two-day book extravaganza this weekend.
“The Lifeline Southside Bookfair is a great way to support the local counselling service, a 24/7 phone line for anyone in need of support.
“Lifeline Canberra does incredibly important work in our region, and the bookfair will raise much-needed funds to help train volunteer counsellors.
“I’m looking forward to helping set up the fair and seeing the range of books, magazines and collectables that will be on offer over the weekend.
“In this increasingly digital world it’s nice to be able to head along to a bookfair, have a good browse and help out a local charity at the same time,” said Ms Brodtmann.
Ms Brodtmann will help set up the bookfair today with volunteers and Lifeline Canberra CEO Mike Zissler.
